High temperature resistant automotive cables are mainly made of the following materials:
1. TPE materials: styrene, olefin, diene, vinyl chloride, polyester, ester, amide, organic fluorine, silicone and vinyl, etc. (TPS, TPU, TPO, TPV, etc.) ). Most of the currently used elastomers refer to SEBS as the base material.
2. TPU material: The molecular structure is divided into polyester type and polyether type, composed of rigid blocks and flexible segments. In the processing technology, injection molding occupies more than 40 percent , and extrusion molding is about 35 percent ; spring expansion The length can reach 2-6 times the original spring length.
3. PVC material: PVC polyvinyl chloride cable, based on polyvinyl chloride, can be adjusted by adding different amounts of plasticizers to adjust its flexibility and reduce its "vitrification" temperature, so it has good flexibility. It can also increase plasticity, making it easy to process and shape. .
4. Silica gel material: It is a highly active adsorption material, which is an amorphous substance and thermosetting rubber.
5. XLPE cross-linked polyethylene: It is transformed into a thermosetting elastomer to improve its insulation performance, the temperature resistance range of the cable is expanded, and the performance is improved. Once the XLPE cable is burned, carbon dioxide and water are produced.
